What is Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese technique for healing the body, mind, and spirit, creating relaxation and feelings of peace, security, and wellbeing. It is a simple, natural, and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement. Many have reported miraculous results after practicing Reiki.
In Reiki, you need to use your hands to channelize the life force energy from the Universe into your body. It is when our life force energy is low that we tend to fall sick. Reiki has been effective in healing illnesses.
It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques and promote recovery and reduce side effects.

Meaning and Origin of Reiki
Mikao Usui developed the practice of Reiki. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei meaning 'God's Wisdom or the Higher Power' and Ki, which is 'life force energy.' So Reiki is 'spiritually guided life force energy.'
Usui added the Reiki Ideals, which are from the five principles of the Meiji, the emperor of Japan. The Ideals added spiritual balance to Usui Reiki.
The purpose of the Ideals was to make people realize that healing the spirit, by adopting a better life, is a necessary part of the Reiki healing experience. For Reiki to work, clients must accept responsibility for their healing and be actively involved in it. They must commit to self-improvement.
How to Learn Reiki
Reiki is a simple process, and teaching and learning occur in a Reiki class. A Reiki master gives 'Attunement’ to students as a part of the initiation. This will help them tap into an unlimited supply of 'life force energy.'
Reiki is not dependent on one's intellectual capacity or spiritual development. It is available to everyone.
Reiki is Spiritual and not a Religion
Reiki is spiritual and is not a religion. Reiki is independent of and beyond any belief systems.
It is still important to live and act harmoniously without disturbing others’ belief systems.
Mikao Usui recommended that one must practice certain simple ethical ideals to promote peace and harmony, which are universal.
